CHIEF FIRE OFFICER
- Permanent
- Task Grade: 15
- Annual Basic Salary: (R 665 737,49 – R 864 182,25) excluding benefits
- Position to be stationed in Mthatha, Eastern Cape
- Reports to Head of Centre Disaster Risk Management
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Fire Technology) – SAESI Registered
- Code EC Driver’s License.
- Computer Literacy Certificate
- 05 years’ experience in Fire Management environment
Key Performance Areas:
- Control the procedural applications, interventions and activities of the operational functionality of the fire and rescue section to ensure the section is positioned to react efficiently to fire / rescue threats or occurrences within the municipal area.
- Controls and contribute to the fire and rescue services strategical operation plan pertaining to firefighting services
- Controls and contribute to the community services fire and rescue services policies, procedures and controls pertaining to firefighting services
- Controls and deliver an effective firefighting service
- Delivers and controls effective fire safety services
- Delivers and controls effective fire training services
- Delivers and controls effective information education services
- Controls fleet maintenance and equipment
- Control and contribute to the community services fire and rescue services financial and asset management pertaining to firefighting services
- Controls the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel within the firefighting services sub section
- Controls and contribute to the firefighting services stakeholder and communication process
- Controls the reporting requirements of the functionality firefighting services
- Control administrative functions
- Control and contributing towards efficient and effective firefighting services audit processes
